In fast weight loss diets, you can consider consuming higher amounts of others and starchy vegetables, not only do these make you feel full, but of course is good for you and provide you with many weight loss and health benefits. A general tip in regards to “cup” sizes would be usually 1 serving is about the size of your fist, or a ratio of 2:1 when it comes to raw vegetables. But regardless these are all estimates and is not an amount written in stone.

Eating vegetables is very important in fast weight loss diets, but on top of that it provides multiple health benefits. It reduces many common health risks such as heart disease and reduced chances of strokes, vegetables should be a staple in controlling type 2 diabetes, can also increase chances of protection against certain cancers such as stomach or colon, even decrease bone loss in come cases. Because of its high mineral and vitamin counts in vegetables, fast weight loss diets like these help reduce calories and of course help control cholesterol. Dietary fiber found in vegetables also help with healthy bowel movements, on top of that fiber helps you feel full without all the other calories normally found in other foods. Vegetables also contain many different vitamins that provide many different benefits such as, healthy skin, aid iron absorption, aid in wound healthy and healthy teeth and gums.

As you can see besides weight control vegetables provides an abundance of benefits that it should NOT be neglected in your fast weight loss diets. Make sure to be aware of the hidden calories that some restaurants may be presenting to you with your vegetables. Such as dressing, batter or butter. Be sure that sometimes eating vegetables does not mean it is healthy if you add all the frills. Learn how to read labels or order food properly when you eat out!
