When it comes to fast weight loss diets, many believe that it is a very complicated thing. In fact with a little discipline small and effective changes can be made. Whole grains is essentially the raw form, whereas refine grains go through a milling process that extends its shelf lives but strips it of its natural healthy properties such as vitamins and/or dietary fibers. When you see the words enriched in refine grain products, this is when vitamins and iron is added back into the product. Checking the labels and understanding what they mean is also very important to fast weight loss diets.

Some common grain products that you can consider adding into your diet include: brown rice, whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta.

When choosing these products be sure to carefully read the labels, keywords like whole grain, whole wheat can help determine what type of grain they are.

Be sure to try out different grain products and see which ones are appealing to you, after that next thing you need to determine is how much each individual needs in their fast weight loss diets. The recommended amounts are highly determined by your age, gender and exercise level. Like any weight loss regime be sure to check with your doctor to ensure the right mix for your individual program.

But as a rule of thumb, assuming 1 serving is 1 slice of bread or 1/2 cup of pasta or 1 cup of oatmeal. Women need around 4-6 servings of grain products a day and Men around 6-8 servings. Depending on your physical activity you can adjust accordingly. Be sure that at least 1/2 of the grain products consumed in your fast weight loss diets should be from whole grain sources!

Including grain products in your diet not only will help you lose weight but will also provide other health benefits. It is often associated with reducing risks of heart diseases, ease constipation, and has benefits for women during pregnancy. Grains also contain a number of healthy nutrients essential to good health management that include dietary fibers, vitamin B, and healthy minerals like iron and magnesium.
